Real Salt Lake signs Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji
Real Salt Lake bought Nigerian striker Victor Olatunji from Czech team Sparta Prague on Wednesday.
Olatunji is 25 years old. Salt Lake paid about $2.5 million for him. He signed a contract until June 2028, with options to stay longer.
To make the deal happen, Salt Lake also paid $125,000 to D.C. United for player rights.
“We’re happy to have Victor join our team,” said RSL soccer boss Kurt Schmid. “Victor is fast, strong, and smart in the penalty area. He should help our offense.”
Since 2017, Olatunji has scored 42 goals and made 11 assists in 192 games playing for clubs in Austria, Cyprus, Slovakia, and Czech Republic.
