Beşiktaş Signs Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City
Turkish football club Beşiktaş has officially signed Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi from Leicester City.
The club announced they’ve agreed a deal with both Leicester and the player. Ndidi has signed a 3-year contract with the option of a 4th year, ending his 8-year time at Leicester.
Beşiktaş will pay Leicester €8 million for the transfer. Ndidi completed his medical tests in Istanbul this week. The announcement was delayed because Beşiktaş was busy with their European cup matches.
This move brings Ndidi to Turkey, where he’ll join another Nigerian player, Victor Osimhen, who recently joined rival club Galatasaray for €75 million. The two Nigerians will now face each other when their teams play against each other in Turkish football’s biggest rivalry matches.
