Manchester United edge Chelsea as Stamford Bridge slump deepens

Chelsea slumped to a fourth straight home league defeat for the first time since 1998 after a 1-0 loss to Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, a result that strengthens the visitors’ grip on a top-three finish.

Both sides arrived under pressure following recent defeats, but it was Chelsea who showed greater urgency early on. Despite a cautious opening, the hosts created the clearer chances, with Estêvão striking the post from distance before being forced off through injury.

Enzo Fernández then went close as Chelsea began to find rhythm, but United made their moment count. With their only shot on target before the break, Matheus Cunha finished clinically from a cutback by Bruno Fernandes to give the visitors the lead.
