Real Madrid have not ruled out sending Endrick out on loan for a second time this year, according to reports, despite the Brazilian forward’s representatives pushing for him to remain and fight for a place in José Mourinho’s squad.
Endrick returned to Madrid on 28 July after a break following Brazil’s exit from the World Cup, beaten by Norway on 5 July. His comeback does not come with any guarantee of regular playing time as the club reshapes its attacking options under its new head coach.
According to ESPN journalist Rodra, cited by Goal.com, Real Madrid have not closed the door on loaning Endrick out again this summer. The report states that the 19-year-old is determined to stay at the Santiago Bernabéu and compete for minutes, and that Mourinho intends to evaluate him closely during pre-season before making a final decision.
The forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Lyon, in a deal confirmed by Real Madrid and Olympique Lyonnais that ran through to 30 June 2026. That spell in Ligue 1 was seen as a success and helped restore his standing ahead of the World Cup.
Even so, Madrid’s coaching staff reportedly do not consider Endrick assured of a starting role and believe he will need to earn his opportunities from the bench, a stance at odds with the player’s own camp, who are resistant to another temporary exit.
The uncertainty comes as Real Madrid continue to weigh a move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise. Reports have suggested that Endrick or teammate Gonzalo García could be loaned out to create space in the squad if that deal advances. Madrid are also said to be prioritising other departures, with Franco Mastantuono expected to leave on loan and the club reportedly open to selling midfielder Eduardo Camavinga on a permanent basis.
The situation marks a shift in tone from earlier in the year. In May, reports indicated Real Madrid had ruled out both a further loan and a permanent sale for Endrick, with the club said to see him as a squad option behind Kylian Mbappé and in competition with Vinícius Júnior. That position has since softened, with his long-term role now again under review as pre-season begins.
Real Madrid have not issued an official statement on Endrick’s status since his return to training. Mourinho is expected to make a decision on the forward’s future once pre-season fixtures give a clearer picture of the squad’s shape for 2026-27.
