Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has advised the club to keep track of Florian Wirtz, who has struggled to settle at Liverpool, The Sun reported on Wednesday.
Alonso previously coached Wirtz at Bayer Leverkusen, where the German attacking midfielder became one of Europe’s standout young players.
Since joining Liverpool, Wirtz has yet to score in ten appearances across all competitions. Alonso, who maintains strong links with Madrid’s hierarchy, is said to believe the 22-year-old could rediscover his form under different circumstances.
