Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed personal terms with Anthony Gordon as the Bundesliga champions explore a possible summer transfer for the Newcastle United winger.
According to reports from talkSPORT, discussions between Bayern and Gordon’s representatives have progressed positively, with the player open to a move to Germany ahead of next season.
Attention has now shifted to negotiations between the two clubs, although a transfer agreement is not believed to be close at this stage.
Newcastle are reportedly demanding around €86 million for the England international, a valuation that could complicate Bayern’s pursuit despite their strong interest in the 24-year-old attacker.
The report added that Newcastle remain confident clubs across Europe would be prepared to meet their asking price, with Gordon continuing to attract attention after another impressive season in the Premier League.
However, Bayern may be reluctant to match that figure. Previous reports in German media suggested the club consider a deal closer to €70 million to be more realistic within their transfer plans.
Gordon has become one of Newcastle’s most important attacking players since joining the club, earning praise for his pace, direct style and ability to create chances from wide positions.
He has also strengthened his standing at international level with England, increasing his profile ahead of the summer transfer window.
Bayern are expected to strengthen their attacking options after an inconsistent domestic and European campaign, with Gordon viewed as a player capable of adding speed and energy to the squad.
While personal terms appear to be in place, negotiations between Bayern and Newcastle are likely to determine whether the move can progress further in the coming weeks.
