Ex claims Katie Price sent late night messages to Grealish and Walker during Cyprus trip

Jack Grealish and Kyle Walker have been dragged into a fresh off field story after claims that they received drunk text messages from British media personality Katie Price during a holiday in Cyprus in October 2024.

The allegation was made by Price’s former boyfriend JJ Slater, who says the messages were sent while the couple were on holiday together and after a night of heavy drinking with friends.

Slater, who appeared on Married at First Sight, told The Sun that the incident unfolded in the early hours of the morning after an evening at a karaoke bar. He claimed Price continued drinking after he went to bed and that he later discovered her messaging the two England internationals.

The claims arrive at a time when both players are already under intense public scrutiny. Walker’s private life has been heavily covered by the tabloids, while Grealish has recently been in the headlines for footballing reasons following a serious injury.

The timing matters because Walker remains an active Premier League figure, currently playing a key role for Burnley, while Grealish’s season appears to be nearing a premature end. Any off field controversy involving England internationals inevitably attracts heightened attention, particularly when personal relationships are involved.

According to Slater, the incident occurred after the group returned from a night out. He said he went to sleep while Price stayed up drinking with friends, only to wake several hours later and find her messaging footballers on her phone. Slater added that alcohol played a role in the situation but admitted it left lingering doubts.

Walker’s personal life has already been a recurring subject in the British press. His marriage to childhood sweetheart Annie Kilner has faced repeated strain, including separations, public scandals and a divorce filing in 2024. Reports earlier this year suggested the relationship remains fragile, with attention drawn to Walker appearing without his wedding ring during a promotional event.

Grealish, meanwhile, has largely avoided controversy in recent months but has been sidelined by injury. The England winger, currently on loan at Everton after falling out of favour at Manchester City, is facing the possibility of surgery. Everton manager David Moyes has indicated the issue could rule him out for the remainder of the season.

The second half of the story shifts back to football matters, where Grealish’s absence has left Everton short of creativity and experience during a difficult run. His injury represents a major setback for both club and player as he attempts to rebuild momentum after a disrupted campaign.

Attention now turns to what comes next for the two players. Grealish is unlikely to return before the end of the season, with focus expected to shift toward recovery and long term fitness. Walker, however, remains central to Burnley’s survival push and is expected to feature in Monday night’s clash with Sunderland as Scott Parker’s side fight to avoid relegation.
