Man Utd could earn over £10m from possible Saudi Arabia tour

Manchester United might earn more than £10 million if they decide to go to Saudi Arabia later this season, with several interesting offers already on the table.

Reports in England say that United received three clear options, each giving a good mix of money and visibility in one of football’s fastest growing markets.

The first idea is a small three-team tournament with Saudi clubs Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal. Each game could bring around £5 million, plus some extra prize money on top. Not bad, right?

The second option is a single friendly match against a Saudi All-Star XI. And the third — maybe the most practical — would be a warm-weather training camp in Riyadh, organised by the Saudi royal family or the General Entertainment Authority (GEA). That one is also worth around £5 million.

In all three cases, the Saudi organisers would pay for everything — travel, hotels, and training facilities. So for United, it’s basically a no-risk deal financially.

This would follow the same path as other big European clubs who already visited Saudi Arabia, as the country keeps investing heavily to grow its image in world football.

For Manchester United, the final decision will depend on things like the match schedule, player fitness, and their wider commercial plans. The club will look carefully if the timing fits with their competition commitments.

Still, with a possible payday of over £10 million — and at a time when many clubs are watching their financial fair play limits — it’s not an easy offer to just say no to.
