Oba Femi has emerged as one of the fastest rising names in WWE after a statement performance on one of the sport’s biggest stages.
The Nigerian born wrestler made a major impression at WrestleMania 42, where he defeated Brock Lesnar in under five minutes, a result that immediately elevated his profile within the company.
Femi, whose real name is Isaac Odugbesan, was born in Lagos and began his athletic journey in Nigeria before moving to the United States to further his career.
Before entering professional wrestling, he built a strong background in track and field, specialising in shot put. During his time in collegiate athletics, he won Southeastern Conference indoor titles in 2021 and 2022, highlighting his power and competitive edge.
His academic path took him from the University of Lagos to Middle Tennessee State University and later the University of Alabama, where he continued to develop both academically and athletically.
WWE identified his potential through its “Next in Line” recruitment programme in 2021, a system designed to attract high level athletes into professional wrestling. From there, he progressed through WWE NXT, where he established himself as a dominant figure before earning promotion to the main roster.
Since his call up in early 2026, Femi has remained unbeaten, combining strength and agility to quickly climb the ranks. His finishing move, known as “Fall From Grace,” has become a defining feature of his matches and a key factor in his rapid success.
Following his WrestleMania victory, Femi signalled his ambitions by calling out Roman Reigns, indicating a desire to compete for the top titles in WWE.
With momentum on his side and growing recognition on the global stage, Femi is positioning himself as a major contender in the next phase of his career.
