Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb is on the brink of completing a £27 million move to Fulham, with the Premier League clubs agreeing terms for the Norway international to switch to west London.
Fulham have reached a full agreement with City for Bobb, with the deal including a 20 percent sell-on clause and a matching-right provision that allows the champions to respond to any future bids. The 21-year-old is scheduled to undergo his medical on Thursday before finalising the transfer.
The move brings an end to Bobb’s spell at the Etihad Stadium, where opportunities became increasingly limited despite his technical quality and versatility. He departs having made 47 senior appearances for City, contributing three goals and four assists across competitions, while also earning 16 caps for Norway.
Bobb’s situation at City shifted further following the arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth, adding to an already crowded attacking group that includes Rayan Cherki, Jeremy Doku, and Savinho. Injury setbacks also disrupted his momentum, most notably a fractured leg suffered during pre-season preparations ahead of the 2024-25 campaign.
The transfer comes at a key moment for Fulham, who sit seventh in the Premier League and remain firmly in contention for European qualification. With just four points separating them from the Champions League places, Marco Silva has been eager to reinforce his squad with players capable of handling pressure and sustaining consistency.
Craven Cottage has provided a buoyant backdrop this season, with Fulham growing in confidence against top-half opposition. Silva’s side have shown greater control in possession and improved bravery in attacking phases, traits that align well with Bobb’s one-on-one ability and decision-making in the final third.
At City, Bobb impressed when called upon, offering defensive work rate alongside creative flair. His performances earlier in the season earned praise for his discipline out of possession and his composure in tight areas, even as starts became harder to come by.
The winger’s best moments often came when driving directly at defenders, creating overloads and openings for teammates. However, competition for minutes and tactical rotation meant sustained runs in the side proved elusive.
Fulham now hope Bobb can translate that promise into regular impact. His arrival adds pace, creativity, and tactical flexibility to Silva’s attacking options, particularly in wide areas where Fulham have sought greater penetration.
Attention now turns to the weekend fixture against Manchester United, a match that could see Fulham move within a point of the top four with a victory. If registered in time, Bobb could be in line for his debut, marking the start of a new chapter aimed at regular football and long-term growth.
