Arsenal FC have officially been crowned Premier League champions after Manchester City FC were held to a 1-1 draw by AFC Bournemouth on Sunday.
The result left City five points behind Arsenal with only one match remaining, confirming the Gunners as English champions for the first time in 22 years.
Manager Mikel Arteta guided Arsenal to the title after several seasons of rebuilding, transforming the club into one of the most consistent teams in Europe.
Arsenal sealed the crown with 82 points from 37 league matches and boasted the best defensive record in the division after conceding only 26 goals all season.
Goalkeeper David Raya played a major role in the success and secured his third consecutive Premier League Golden Glove award.
Summer signing Viktor Gyökeres finished as Arsenal’s leading scorer with 14 league goals, while homegrown star Bukayo Saka once again delivered crucial performances throughout the campaign.
Midfielder Declan Rice and defender William Saliba were also central figures in Arsenal’s title-winning run.
Supporters celebrated across north London after confirmation of the title, ending a wait that stretched back to Arsenal’s famous unbeaten league triumph in 2004.
The official title celebrations are expected to continue when Arsenal host Crystal Palace FC at the Emirates Stadium on May 24.
For Arteta and his squad, the triumph marks the culmination of a long-term project that has restored Arsenal to the top of English football.
