Hull City secured promotion to the Premier League after a dramatic 95th minute winner from Oliver McBurnie sealed victory over Middlesbrough FC in the Championship play off final.
The match at Wembley appeared to be heading for extra time after a tense and closely fought encounter with few clear scoring opportunities.
However, McBurnie emerged as Hull’s hero deep into stoppage time when he converted the decisive goal to spark wild celebrations among the Tigers players and supporters.
Hull entered the play offs after narrowly finishing sixth in the Championship standings and completed an impressive late season run to secure a return to England’s top flight.

Their route to the final included a hard fought draw against Millwall FC in the first leg before a commanding 2-0 away victory booked their place at Wembley.
Against Middlesbrough, Hull remained organised under pressure and showed composure throughout the final stages before McBurnie’s late breakthrough settled the contest.
The victory confirms Hull City’s return to the Premier League alongside Coventry City F.C. and Ipswich Town F.C. following a remarkable end to the Championship season.
For Hull supporters, the dramatic promotion marks a major achievement after several challenging years outside the Premier League.
