Inter Milan clinched their 21st Serie A title with a 2-0 victory over Parma at San Siro, confirming their status as champions with games to spare.
The result, combined with Napoli dropping points a day earlier, ensured Inter needed only a win to seal the Scudetto, and they delivered despite a competitive performance from Parma.
Inter made a cautious start and were nearly caught out early when Parma’s Enrico Del Prato found space in the box, though his effort did not trouble the scoreboard. At the other end, Denzel Dumfries headed wide from a Nicolò Barella delivery as the hosts began to settle.
Parma showed attacking intent of their own, with Mateo Pellegrino missing a promising opportunity midway through the first half. Inter responded with their best move of the opening period, as Barella combined well in attack before striking the crossbar, with goalkeeper Zion Suzuki reacting quickly to prevent a rebound.
The breakthrough came just before halftime when Piotr Zieliński threaded a pass through to Marcus Thuram, who calmly finished to give Inter the lead.
The second half was more controlled, with Inter managing the tempo and limiting Parma’s chances. Federico Dimarco provided attacking width, creating opportunities that went unfinished as the hosts pushed for a second goal.
That decisive moment arrived late in the game. Substitute Lautaro Martínez turned provider, delivering a low cross that Henrikh Mkhitaryan converted from close range to seal the victory.
The win extends Inter’s strong run of form and maintains their unbeaten record at home in recent weeks, but more importantly, it confirms another league title for the club.
Parma, who had been on a solid run, saw their resistance broken late on and remain without a win in recent meetings between the sides.
