Manchester City have officially moved ahead of both Arsenal and Chelsea in the list of major trophies won in English football, underlining the club’s remarkable rise during the Pep Guardiola era.
Excluding Community Shield titles, Manchester City now have 31 major trophies, placing them third among England’s most successful clubs.
The updated ranking stands as:
- Liverpool – 52 major trophies
- Manchester United – 46
- Manchester City – 31
- Arsenal – 30
- Chelsea – 30
Since Guardiola arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, City have transformed into one of the most dominant teams in world football.
The club has won multiple Premier League titles, domestic cups and their first ever UEFA Champions League crown during the Spaniard’s reign.
Guardiola has already collected 20 trophies with Manchester City alone, helping the club establish a golden era that has rewritten large parts of their history.
Players such as Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Phil Foden and Rodri have played central roles in City’s success under Guardiola.
The club’s rise has also intensified debates over where Manchester City now rank among the biggest and most successful teams in English football history.
While Liverpool and Manchester United remain ahead in total major honours, City’s sustained dominance over the past decade has rapidly closed the gap on their historic rivals.
