Report: The Six Players Arsenal Want to Sell

Arsenal are preparing to trim their squad before the transfer window closes, with six players understood to be on the chopping block.

Despite spending more than £190 million ($257m) on six new arrivals this summer, the Gunners have recouped less than £7 million in player sales. The only permanent exits so far have been Nuno Tavares, who joined Lazio, and Marquinhos, whose return to Brazil brought in only a modest fee.

According to The Athletic, Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko headline the list of potential departures. They are joined by Fábio Vieira, Reiss Nelson, Karl Hein, and Albert Sambi Lokonga, none of whom were included in the matchday squad for Sunday’s clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, Leandro Trossard could also be available if the “right price” is offered. The Belgian winger has attracted interest from Bayern Munich, Fenerbahçe, and clubs in Saudi Arabia, though he remained an unused substitute in the United game.

Porto continue to be linked with a move for Kiwior, whose future remains uncertain. Zinchenko’s situation looks more clear-cut: the Ukrainian has fallen down the pecking order at left back, with Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly preferred, while Jurriën Timber is also an option ahead of him.

While Arsenal are not in immediate danger of breaching the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules, there is a clear push to balance the books and streamline Mikel Arteta’s squad in the coming weeks.
