Chelsea have officially confirmed the appointment of Xabi Alonso as the club’s new men’s team manager.
The former Spain international will officially begin work at Stamford Bridge on July 1, 2026, after signing a four year contract with the Premier League club.
Chelsea announced the deal on Tuesday as the club prepares for a new era under one of Europe’s most highly rated young coaches.
Alonso arrives in west London with a growing reputation after impressive coaching spells in European football, where he earned praise for his tactical approach, attacking football and ability to develop young players.
