A visitor identified as Tunde Perry was seen at Emirates Stadium carrying out a religious-style act, spraying Zamzam water across parts of the stadium while praying for Arsenal FC to win the UEFA Champions League.
Video clips and photos circulating on social media show Perry moving around the stadium interior and sprinkling the water on sections of the stands, tunnel area and pitch perimeter while making prayers for Arsenal’s success in Europe.
Zamzam water, considered sacred in Islamic tradition, is often used in personal prayers and blessings, though its use in a sporting venue has drawn attention online due to the unusual setting.
Arsenal are currently competing in the latter stages of their European campaign, with supporters increasingly hopeful of a first UEFA Champions League title in the club’s history.
The Emirates Stadium incident has since sparked widespread discussion on social platforms, with reactions divided between amusement, curiosity and concern over conduct inside a professional sporting venue.
