Juventus players defeated Udinese away with a score of 1:0 (1:0) in the match of the 29th round of the Italian Serie A.
Just 13 days ago, in the extra time of the match against Roma at the Olimpico, Juventus were losing and with that defeat they would have fallen seven points behind the “wolf”, too far from the zone that leads to the Champions League.
However, then Federico Gatti equalized at 3:3 in injury time, then Juve beat Pisa, and Roma lost to Genoa, and with tonight’s triumph in Udine, the “old lady of Turin” is two points ahead of Roma, who visit Como on Sunday.
So, everything turned completely in Juventus’ favor, and this evening, Luciano Spalletti’s team finally played a commendable match from start to finish.
Although Juve only scored one goal, they attacked and created chances constantly, and Kenan Yildiz caused the most trouble with his phenomenal dribbling.
In the end, the young Turk set up the winning goal for Žeremije Boga, when he served him as a plate for the decisive goal in the 38th minute.
In the second half, he played through other teammates, such as in the 70th minute when Francisco Conceição scored, but the goal was then disallowed because Teun Kupmejners interfered with the “Zebra” goalkeeper from offside.
That didn’t bother Juventus, who maintained their lead until the end and reached 53 points, standing out in fourth place, until Como and Roma play their match on Sunday.
Kosta Runjaić’s team, on the other hand, remained in 11th position with 38 points won.
