Pep Guardiola has reportedly turned down an approach from Inter Miami CF as he prepares to leave Manchester City at the end of the season.
According to reports, Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham identified Guardiola as his preferred candidate to replace former coach Javier Mascherano, who stepped down from the role in April.
The Major League Soccer club has been operating under interim coach Angel Guillermo Hoyos while searching for a long-term appointment, but Guardiola is understood to have no interest in taking charge of the Florida-based side at this stage of his career.
Despite the possibility of working again with Lionel Messi, widely regarded as one of the greatest players Guardiola has coached, the Spaniard is reportedly planning to take a break from management after his departure from Manchester City.
After spending years at the highest level of club football, Guardiola is said to be prioritising time away from the game to focus on family and close associates before considering his next move.
While he is expected to step away from day-to-day coaching duties, reports suggest Guardiola could maintain a role within the City Football Group as a global ambassador and advisor to youth development programmes.
Looking further ahead, international football is believed to be an option that appeals to the former FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager.
Guardiola has previously been linked with the England national team job, while speculation has also connected him with the Italy role.
For now, however, the 55-year-old appears focused on taking a break after the end of his Manchester City era, leaving Inter Miami to continue their search for a permanent manager.
