FC Barcelona have completed the signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United in a deal worth around 70 million euros plus add-ons, with the total package expected to exceed 80 million euros.
The 25-year-old winger arrived in Barcelona on Thursday to undergo a medical and finalise contract details before the transfer was officially confirmed.
Gordon joins after a strong season in the Premier League under manager Eddie Howe, where he became a key attacking figure for Newcastle.
He made 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists, with 36 of those matches coming as a starter. His form established him as one of the club’s most consistent attacking players.
Barcelona have moved quickly to secure his signature as part of their squad rebuild ahead of the new season, adding pace and direct attacking threat to their frontline.
The transfer marks another major investment by the Catalan club as they continue to reshape the squad for both domestic and European competition.
