Marquinhos has moved into third place on the list of footballers with the most official titles in history following his latest trophy triumph with Paris Saint-Germain.
According to statistics released by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics, the Brazilian defender now has 40 career trophies, moving ahead of several legendary names in world football.
The updated rankings place Lionel Messi at the top with 45 official titles, while former Brazil defender Dani Alves remains second with 41.
Marquinhos now sits alone in third place with 40 trophies after another successful season with PSG, where he has continued to captain the French champions.
Egyptian goalkeeper Hossam Hassan and former FC Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets are both level on 39 titles.
Since joining PSG from Roma in 2013, Marquinhos has become one of the most decorated defenders of his generation, winning multiple Ligue 1 titles, domestic cups and international honours.
The 30-year-old has also played a key leadership role for both PSG and the Brazil national football team over the years.
His rise into the top three highlights the consistency and success he has enjoyed throughout his career at club level.
