Harry Kane has spoken about Bayern Munich’s exit from the UEFA Champions League after their semi-final defeat to Paris Saint-Germain.
Bayern’s hopes of reaching the final ended following a 1-1 draw in the second leg on Wednesday, which saw them eliminated 6-5 on aggregate despite a late goal from Kane.
The England captain admitted Bayern had enough chances to turn the tie in their favour.
“It’s tough. We had enough chances today to reach the final,” Kane said in comments to Sky Germany.
Despite the disappointment in Europe, Bayern have already secured the Bundesliga title, leaving them with another chance for silverware this season.
Attention now turns to the DFB-Pokal Final against VfB Stuttgart on May 23, where Bayern will aim to complete a domestic double.
“Now my focus is on the cup final. We have the chance to win the double,” Kane said.
Looking ahead to the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal, Kane believes the French champions enter the match with a slight advantage.
“PSG are the slight favourites in the final,” he added.
