Barcelona dominate most valuable XI of World Cup semi-finals

Barcelona have more players than any other club in the most valuable XI of the 2026 World Cup semi-finals, with four of their stars featuring in a line-up packed with elite talent.

The team, compiled by Transfermarkt using player market values and tactical positions, draws from the four nations still chasing the trophy: Spain, France, Argentina and England.

At the top of the list is Lamine Yamal.

The Spain winger is valued at €200 million, making him the most expensive player remaining at the World Cup. He is one of four Barcelona representatives in the XI alongside Pedri, Pau Cubarsi and goalkeeper Joan Garcia.

Pedri carries a €150 million valuation, while Cubarsi is worth an estimated €80 million. Garcia’s inclusion is perhaps the biggest surprise.

Despite operating as a back-up goalkeeper for Spain, the Barcelona player is valued at €45 million. That figure puts him ahead of several established international starters, including Unai Simon, Mike Maignan, Jordan Pickford, Emiliano Martinez and David Raya.

France also have a major presence in the side, led by Kylian Mbappe, whose €180 million valuation is second only to Yamal.

Michael Olise, valued at €150 million, joins Mbappe alongside €100 million defender William Saliba and €70 million winger Bradley Barcola.

England provide the remaining three players. Jude Bellingham leads their contingent with a market value of €130 million, while Nico O’Reilly and Reece James are valued at €70 million and €60 million respectively.

Remarkably, Argentina do not have a player in the XI despite reaching the last four.

Transfermarkt’s valuations consider several factors, including a player’s age, performances, contract situation, future potential and prevailing market conditions. The figures are widely referenced across football, particularly during transfer windows.

For Barcelona, the list offers another indication of the value concentrated within their squad. Four players in the tournament’s most expensive semi-final XI is more than any other club, with Yamal leading the field at €200 million.
